Let’s Raise Emotionally Healthy Kids Together

I support families and educators in navigating the complexities of raising and teaching children in today’s world. My work fosters lasting change, one child, one family, and one community at a time.

My Story

Together with my husband David, we have raised two children and have dealt with the complexities that come along with parenting. As an educator and lifelong learner with over 25 years of experience teaching students from K-12 in both public and private school systems in BC, I have extensive experience in education and child development.

The woman is wearing a light dress with tie shoulder straps and holding a small bouquet of flowers, while the man is dressed in a patterned short-sleeve shirt and dark pants. Throughout my career, I have been deeply influenced by the lived experiences of my students. Witnessing the growing mental health challenges facing young people inspired me to further my studies, completing a Master of Education in Social Emotional Learning at the UBC Okanagan in 2021.

As part of my graduate work, I developed an evidence-based strategic plan focused on building capacity for mental wellbeing and resiliency in elementary schools. I regularly collaborate with educational leaders across Canada and I am passionate about supporting learning environments that value equity, inclusivity, cultural diversity, and emotional wellbeing.
